One clear photo of each side, filling the frame, in daylight or even indirect light, on a plain background. Photos under about 250 pixels are rejected before any credit is used; between 250 and 640 pixels we warn you that confidence may be reduced.

No. Treat it as unknown — the AI works out the object type, likely date, authority and design independently. You can add weight, diameter and a personal note to help.

It is an informed research opinion, not an authentication. Every report shows a confidence level, what could be seen on your actual photographs, and where the identification is uncertain.

Because wear, corrosion or a partial legend genuinely limits what can be read. We would rather tell you the honest range than invent a precise answer.

No. It is an approximate market range based on broadly comparable sold examples where they could be found. It is not an offer, an insurance valuation or a guaranteed sale price.

If comparable sales are thin or condition varies hugely, we widen the range or say the evidence is insufficient rather than guess.

It researches the documented history of a one-mile research area, maps evidence that has a genuine published position, and ranks the areas most worth investigating with a plain-English explanation of what may have happened there.

Scores run 0–100: 85+ Strong Area, 65–84 Good Area to Investigate, 45–64 Possible Landscape Interest, below 45 supporting evidence only. They reflect the strength, independence and position quality of the evidence — not a promise of finds.

Only evidence with an exact published position is mapped. Where a source gives a parish, an area or no location at all, we keep it as context and never invent a map point.

No. Anomalies are interpreted, never confirmed. Many are natural, agricultural or modern.

You choose a target area, allow location access, and it shows live distance and bearing to that area while you walk, with an optional compass heading.

No. Your GPS position stays in your browser for the session only. It is never stored, never sent to us and never shared.

Only you. Photographs are held in private storage reached by short-lived links, and land coordinates are never shown publicly.

It becomes read-only and is retained for the period shown on your membership page, then deleted. Rejoining before that date restores everything.

Yes — every find report and Land Intelligence report has PDF and share options.

Card payments are handled entirely by our payment provider. We never see or store your card details, and you can manage your card and invoices through the billing portal.

One button on your membership page. Access continues to the end of the period you have paid for, and you can resume before that date.

We mark the membership past due and your Vault stays available while you update your card. If it is not resolved, membership ends and retention begins.

The reserved credit is returned automatically — a credit is only taken when a finished report is saved.
